Today I had to create something involving the amazing
Star Magazine home page. By the way, Star is very tech savvy. One even can subscribe to their
StaRRS feed (which is the best Web 2.0 pun in history). I decided to do sort of quantitative portraits involving the first celebrities mentioned on the homepage news section. So, I searched each celebrities name in Google to see how many pages mentioned the celebrity. Then, I used that number to determine an amount of time (i.e. 2,450,000 pages equals 2 minutes, 45 seconds). That was the amount of time I had to spend on each portrait. The more popular the celebrity is on the internet, the more time I would spend on their portrait.
